Psychosexual Therapy
Sexual problems are common, however people often stuggle to talk about them due to the feelings of embarrassment, distress or shame they may feel. As well of the physical aspects of impaired sexual functioning, these problems can also have an impact on other aspects of mental health, including self confidence. In addition to this, problems with sexual functioning can have a major impact on a relationship.
Working as a Psychosexual Therapist (Sex Therapist) I offer a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space for clients to be able to explore their issues with the aim to achieve better sexual health and wellbeing. I work integratively as I acknowledge that sexual dysfunctions are not just physical, but are also psychological/emotional.

The first session will involve a full assessment to enable me to discuss a client's issues, personal history and treatment plan. During this assessment I will also consider the need for any medical investigations from your GP or other health professional.

Typically during psychosexual therapy I will offer self-help tools and practical exercises to be completed at home. In some situations I may also use relevant sexual education.

I see both individuals and couples for psychosexual problems. I work with people of all sexual orientations, gender identities and sexualities.
